Animal Welfare of Culebra recently rescued two amazing pups who were starving and very ill. Combined we took about 1,000 ticks off of them and they were so weak that they could barely stand.

These sweet little dogs are a mother and son combination, and needless to say, have had a very, VERY difficult life thus far. The dogs face some rehab and recovery ahead, however having been to the vet, and now in a secure, loving foster environment their future looks bright.

Medical costs for these little guys are expected to run quite high and we always greatly appreciate any donation that is made (100% of donations made go directly toward the caring of animals).

Additionally, please let us know if you have space in your heart and home for Pepper and Mint (also known as Sonny Bono & Lucky Lady).

This is outrageous. I hope that all parties involved with this cruelty has received appropiate punishment… like JAIL time. When I click “support” I receive a message stating that I’m forbidden and can’t donate. I live in China…could it be because I’m not currently in the US?

I cannot comprehend how any human beings can be so cruel! This makes me incredibly angry and disgusted! Thank God they are finally with nice caring people!

I donated what I could, I wish I could donate more!

If I lived closer I would take these pups in a heartbeat. I hope they get all the love they deserve wherever they end up.
