Lilly Finds a Home!!
Great news! After a fairly intense social media outreach effort (Twitter, FaceBook, YouTube, & Flickr) Lilly has been adopted.

Most of the dogs that we rescue here on Culebra typically fly out of San Juan airport and meet their new family upon arrival at their destination.
However, Lilly’s new family has decided to travel down to our little Caribbean island from South Carolina to pick her up during the last week of August. (When they arrive we will get pics of the new, happy family.)
According to her new owners, “Lilly will have a friendly dog next door to play with, live close to the beach for great walks, and even get to take frequent boat trips.”
After all that Lilly has been through we could not be more excited for her and her new forever family!
A sincere thank you to all who provided financial contributions and well wishes. The kindness of strangers has been amazing!
There are many other dogs like Lilly, still on the streets of Culebra, who desperately need assistance and a home.
Please contact us if you are interested in adopting a Culebra sato (mix breed), providing financial support, or helping with outreach at animalwelfareofculebra(at)yahoo.com.

Lillie,
We are part of your extended new family along with Cooper, our rescue dog who will love seeing you. We can hardly wait to meet you.
Thanks to all the rescuers who give so much love and time to help these animals have a great life. These rescue dogs are the best in the world.
Jane, Jay, David and Cooper
Lille,
You are going to be a really spoiled dog. God does answer prayer because you are a blessing for my sister and her husband. They just recently put there best friend to sleep from old age and now you will carry her name also. Just wanted to welcome you Miss Lille Ruth to your new family and your new Auntie. Oh bye the way you have two of the best grandparents in the world.
See You Soon!
