WE ARE VICTIMS OF OUR OWN SUCCESS…
Since I last wrote you in July, we have been going “great guns.” Our sterilization program with the school is going well (we have six animals to be spayed/neutered at our next vet clinic), and we have been selling our “Yo cuido los Animales de Culebra,” tee shirts to the public ($15.00).
Last week we shipped four puppies to a “no kill” facility to be adopted, and “Minnie” to a new home in Ohio, and we have more dogs on the waiting list to be sent to the States as soon as word comes in that there is a home available.
HOWEVER, our activity comes at a price—i.e., in November almost $500 in vet bills, shipping four puppies and Minnie, $672, $85 van rental to take dogs to airport, and $159 for two large dog kennels from Kmart (to replace the ones we shipped with the dog and puppies).
Please open your hearts and wallets for one more “End of the Year” plea for help. We hope you will send us what you can to enable us to keep to our pledge to help stop Culebra’s animal population explosion.
Please visit our SUPPORT page and make a donation via PayPal.
Sincerely,
Marsha Brighton, President
